Rum Village Sunday Programs

Get close to nature this fall with Rum Village Sunday Programs! Are you interested in animals, leaves or simply intrigued by nature itself? These programs are free, and open to everyone!

Summer Critters - September 16
There are a lot of animals around us this time of the year.  Some are in the trees, some are in the skies, and some right on the ground. We’ll hike on the trails and discover what they’re up to!

Insect Discovery for Kids - September 23
Kids love insects.  So, meet us at the nature center for some Bug Bingo, sweep-netting of live insects, and the making of your own bug to take home.

Cool Herps! - September 30
Although reptiles and amphibians may live in your neighborhood, it’s not often that we get to view them up close. Join us in the auditorium to see (and maybe touch) these intriguing creatures.

Autumn Scavenger Hunt - October 7
We will have a list of things we’ll be searching for as we hike the Rum Village trails. Bring out the family and see if we can find all of these cool items!

Crisp and Color Hike - October 21
Join us as we take a stroll through the woods to delight in the changing colors.

Crisp and Color Hike (Take Two) - October 28
Miss the first hike (or just want to do it again)? Join us as we take a stroll through the woods to delight in the changing colors.

Pinecone Bird Feeder - November 4
Join us for some craft-time fun as we watch the bird window and make pinecone bird feeders to take home!

Rum Village Uncovered - November 11
With most of the leaves on the ground, we’ll be able to see the fascinating landscape of Rum Village Park. Dress warmly, and see the park from a different perspective.
