Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior Programming
Along with many programs and special events, the Martin Luther King Jr. Center is proud to service the seniors of the community. These events and programs cater directly to the needs of South Bend senior citizens, from socializing to hot daily meals.
55+ Chair Exercise Class
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:30am - 11:30pm
A fitness class that provides an opportunity to get moving while gathering with others in the senior community. A line dancing component is offered as an option at the end of class.
Real Services Senior Program
Monday - Friday, 10:30am - 12:30pm
REAL Services is an umbrella organization for more than 20 programs that assist elderly, disabled and low-income individuals in 12 northern Indiana counties. Our programs address the needs of education, nutrition, self-sufficiency, and protection. *Note: This program has been relocated from Charles Black Recreation Center due to renovations until further notice.
55+ Special Events
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 11:00am - 4:00pm
Enjoy crafts, games, puzzles and special projects! Seniors who are looking to be on the move and a social environment for the day are welcome to join us! Trips and other special events are also planned. Contact Stefanie Coleman at 574-235-7650 for more information.
