Family Passport to Play
Get ready for an adventure-filled season of family fun and outdoor events. South Bend Venues Parks & Arts, HealthWorks! Kids' Museum, St. Joseph County Parks, Martin's Super Markets and the Reducing Obesity Coalition of St. Joseph County have partnered to offer families across Michiana an opportunity to spend time together and participate in fun-filled activities.
Family Passport to Play gives your family the chance every month to enjoy the beauty of our local parks, exercise in an exciting way and learn new things about enhancing your own health and well-being.
Family Passport to Play provides free programming for your family throughout the year, including:
- Cleaner Brighter Greener - HealthWorks! Kid's Museum
Celebrate Earth Day with fun family activities. Crafts, music, puppet shows and yummy treats. Check out the museum floor as well.
- Earth Day Garden Planning - All Martin's Supermarkets
Visit your neighborhood Martin's and celebrate Earth Day by planting your own veggie garden with us. We will provide the seeds and the dirt; you do the planting. Take your own veggie garden home and watch it grow!
- Soaring Into Summer - George Wilson Park, Mishawaka
It's your turn to learn the game of disc golf. Learn to putt, throw, and how simple and fun this sport can be. Discs will be provided.
- ROC Ur Body - Downtown South Bend
Move your bodies while having fun! Join us for an entertaining evening of playing and learning.
- Good Clean Dirty Fun! Nature Play Day - St. Patrick's County Park
Join us for an evening of muddy fun! Activities will include mud painting, mud pies, stomping in the swamp and more. Wear old clothes and shoes (lace up shoes required for the swamp stomp), and bring a towel.
- Summer Splash and Learn - Kennedy Water Playground
