High School Student Forum with Gary Edwin Robinson at Raclin Murphy Encore Center

On Friday, January 23, Mr. Robinson will have an open forum for high school and college students in the Raclin Murphy Encore Center lobby at 11 a.m. After a brief presentation, Mr. Robinson will hold an open questions and answers period.  Schools can register by contacting Dr. Marvin Curtis directly at (574)235-9724 or via email mcurtis@morriscenter.org.  

Gary Edwin Robinson, a New York native, heads the Theatre Arts Program at Boys and Girls High School in is the winner of the 2025 Excellence in Theatre Education Award (EITEA), presented jointly by Carnegie Mellon University and The Tony Awards. Robinson received his award at The Tony Awards on Sunday, June 8, at Radio City Music Hall.   The annual Excellence in Theatre Education Award bestowed by the Tony Awards and Carnegie Mellon University recognizes U.S. educators who have “demonstrated exemplary impact on the lives of students and who embodies the highest standards of the profession.” He is the first New Yorker to win the prize.
