Increased connectivity between Gov. Joe Kernan Park from Howard Park to the Farmer’s Market.
Park Upgrades completed
General deferred maintenance; grills, benches, picnic tables, water fountains, and trash receptacles. Improved park security, lighting and storage is planned for the entire parks system along with restroom modernization.

Acquisition of South Bend Boat House completed
In an agreement between Notre Dame and the City of South Bend, the City acquired the boat house previously used by Notre Dame. The boat house has been asset to the South Bend Scullers and Paddlers Group which gives citizens access to the boat house and offers rowing lessons to the public.
