This Spring South Bend Venues Parks & Arts is partnering with the Red Cross to offer the Water Safety Instructor Class. This class trains candidates who are 16 and older to teach swimming lesson, water safety and drowning prevention. After completion of this course you will be able to teach, Parent & Child, Pre-school classes and Learn-to-Swim levels 1-6. This is a blended-learning course that requires online course work and in-person sessions to master the teaching techniques, stroke mechanics, and safety, requiring strong swimming skills.
