- The ALL-STARS Youth Program operates Monday-Thursday, every school day from the end of the school day 3:00p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please note that the ALL-STARS Youth Program will remain open on modified school days. Half days of school (hours will be 2:30p.m. until 5:00p.m.) No School D
ays (No Afterschool Programming) - Your son/daughter must be picked up promptly at the end of the ALL-STARS After School Youth Program. Students may be picked up between 3:00p.m. and 5:00p.m. If your child has a regularly scheduled weekly appointment, please complete the Early Release form provided in the enrollment packet.
- Safety is a top priority in the ALL-STARS After School Youth Program; therefore, the person(s) you have chosen and listed on your child’s Release Authorization form must sign your child out of the program. All individuals designated on the Release Authorization form must be 16 years of age or older with valid ID. ALL-STARS participants will NOT be released to persons not listed on the Release Authorization form. It is the parent’s responsibility to provide the ALL-STARS program with updated information regarding individuals authorized to pick up their child from the ALL-STARS Program.

- A nutritious snack is provided for students at the start of the ALL-STARS After School Youth Program. Parents may send a daily non-refrigerated snack (no glass bottles). Students need to bring the snack with them to school. Please do not send food that needs to be heated. A healthy snack is encouraged.

- The staff will encourage the children to do their homework. Since our program is recreation based, we cannot force a child to do his or her homework. Homework assistance will be on Mondays and Wednesdays ONLY!
- A late pick-up may result in your son/daughter being dropped from the ALL-STARS After School Youth Program. Late fees will be charged for children not picked up by 5 p.m. in the amount of $1.00 for every 1 minute or any portion thereof per child. Late fees must be paid by cash/credit card or money order within one week of notification or your child will be dropped. After 6:00 p.m. your child will be considered “abandoned” and will come under the supervision of the South Bend Police Department. The South Bend Police Department number is (574) 235-9201.

- Participation in the ALL-STARS After School Youth Program is a privilege. It is extremely important to have clearly defined discipline procedures to guarantee a safe and positive environment for all participants. The following steps will be taken for behavioral offenses:
- First time – warning by staff letter of apology, and loss of privilege (15 min.).
- Second time – behavior notice, counseling with staff, conversation with parents, letter of apology loss of privilege (30 min).
- Third time – behavior notice, counseling with staff, conversation with parents and possible suspension from program.
- Major Offenses (physical abuse such as fighting or hitting other students or staff) all major offenses will be dealt on a case by case basis. Disciplinary actions may range from temporary suspension to dismissal from the program.

Minor Offenses (teasing, minor argument, etc.)
I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Charles Black Recreation Center, Venue Parks and Arts Department, and its employees, instructors, and volunteers from and against any and all liabilities for any injury which may be suffered by me or by my child arising out of or connected with participation in the class/camp attended. In the case of an emergency, I hereby grant permission for my child to be treated by a qualified physician. I give permission for my child’s photo and artwork to be used in all forms of The CBC and SBPR publicity, brochures and web site.
